A nature lovers paradise, the Grampians delivered stunning views and plenty of opportunity to adventure and explore during our six day trip.

February weather was perfect for camping in the bush, walking and four-wheel-driving the national park.

Best waterfalls:

  • Fish Falls

Fish Falls is a couple of kilometres from Zumsteins picnic ground.
  • Mackenzie Falls

Park at Mackenzie Falls Carpark for a short walk to Mackenzie Falls.

Best walks:

  • Mt Rosea (day hike)

  • Mt Difficult (overnight hike)

  • The Pinnacle

The Pinnacle is one of the most popular walks at the Grampians, the shortest route is one and a half hour return from Sundial Carpark. It’s two hours from Wonderland Carpark or roughly four from Halls Gap.

Best driving:

  • Goats Track (4WD only)

  • Victoria Range Road (4WD only)

Feeling adventurous? Climb up this stack of rocks at the top of Victoria Range Road. You’ll see a white sandy section to pull off the road and a high boulder stack. One of the best views in the Grampians.
  • Red Rock Road (4WD only)

Red Rock Road is true to it’s name. You’ll feel like you in the Australian outback driving along here.

Best attractions:

  • Bullimina Aboriginal Shelter (short walk)

Appreciate Indigenous culture at the Bullimina Aboriginal shelter, a kilometre or so walk from the carpark near Buandik Campground.
  • Boroka Lookout

View from the easy accessible Boroka Lookout. You can take your grandma here it’s such a short walk from the carpark.
  • Reed Lookout and Balconies

Best picnic ground:

  • Zumsteins
