Startup Allegany names winners of Collegiate Business Plan Competition

At a time when innovation and sustainability are required much more than ever, on April 10 six pupil teams from Allegany County’s a few colleges of bigger instruction pitched their ground breaking organization strategies for a likelihood to earn funds prizes.

Startup Allegany identified the entrepreneurial-minded undergraduates from Houghton Faculty, Alfred State Faculty, and Alfred University who spent months planning pitches that shown their dedication to sustainability – locating methods to today’s problems without compromising tomorrow’s methods.

“This to start with Startup Allegany Collegiate Opposition was a showcase of expertise with the target of trying to keep pupils and their ideas in the county,” reported Dr. Craig Clark, Vice President of Economic Enhancement at Alfred State College or university and Govt Director of the Allegany County IDA. “The competition promotes entrepreneurship as a career option, connecting students with mentors from the organization local community who aid them take their concept and do the job by way of a practical business system. Business people engage in an essential job in developing thriving communities by fostering a resilient ecosystem and driving innovation engaging our college learners is essential to acquiring the county.”
